Rangers will net a cash windfall of up to £800,000 should Martyn Waghorn make his move from Ipswich Town to Derby County this summer, according to The Daily Record. The paper say that new Derby boss Frank Lampard is ready to sanction a deal that could be worth as much as £8m, with Rangers set to receive 10% of any deal after they insisted a sell on clause was included in the deal that saw him move to Portman Road. The clause could mean that Rangers land more than three times the amount of the initial fee for the striker, with The Record reporting that he was sold for £250,000 last summer. Waghorn scored 16 goals and provided 13 assists in the English Championship last season, making him one of the most wanted forwards in the division. Despite the low cost of his sale to Ipswich, it seems Rangers will at least recoup more money from his departure, helping Steven Gerrard fund what has already been a busy summer of transfer activity at Ibrox.
