Rangers fans have been impressed enough by Osijek player Borna Barisic to want the club to sign him this summer. The left-back was one of the stand-out players during the first leg of the UEFA Europa League qualifying clash last week, giving Jamie Murphy and James Tavernier a very tough game across the 90 minutes. With intelligent runs and dangerous crossing, Barisic looked like a player that would add a new dimension to the Rangers left flank heading into the new season. Just 25 years of age and winning recent caps for World Cup runners-up Croatia, he ticks plenty of boxes for the club, even if there are two solid options at left-back already in Declan John and Jon Flanagan. Rated at £1.8m by Transfermarkt, he would likely cost more than that, but could be within financial reach, given we have already shelled out money for Connor Goldson and have bidded a few million for Jake Cooper. Fans certainly appear in favour, with a massive 84% of respondents to a poll we published last week believing the Gers should try to sign him. You can see the results below…
