'Huge potential', 'Excellent' - These Rangers fans are loving possible new Ibrox hero

Rangers are close to signing 21-year-old Kean Bryan from Manchester City on a permanent deal according to The Daily Mail. The versatile youngster has understandably struggled to break into the City team under Pep Guardiola after graduating from the youth academy, and he has spent the past two seasons out on loan at Bury and Oldham. He made 32 appearances for the Latics last season and was named the club’s Young Player of the Year following an impressive spell at Boundary Park. Bryan is capable of playing in defence and midfield and he will become Steven Gerrard’s 11th signing since taking over as Rangers boss this summer after a mass overhaul of the squad. Bryan is valued at £225,000 on Transfermarkt but according to The Scottish Sun, the total package including wages and signing on fee could total £2.5million for a three-year deal. Rangers fans have been reacting to the latest transfer link on social media and here’s what they’ve had to say about their potential new signing. Bean Kryan out for more defenders! — Scottie (@ScottyDisnyKnow) July 26, 2018 Everyone crying out for more strikers 😂😂 yet no one has seen Kent or Sadiq yet! A striker will come but seeing us finally have a solid defence is top priority, I really don’t care what anyone says, watching diddy teams destroy our defence under previous regimes wasn’t fun — ⚫️⚫️WPJ_____ (@weepaljoe_) July 26, 2018 Given the Cooper pursuit and imminent arrival of Bryan, it’s at least heartening that they’ve identified a specific type of centre-half (left-sided, ball-playing) and stuck to that criteria rather than going out and signing any available random. — Ted (@NewcoTed) July 26, 2018 Wow excellent, turn up for the books. Very promising! — Granny (@MrPatrick999) July 26, 2018 Versatility key here, cb lb but think he prefers cm. — Scott Brothers (@ScottBro1011) July 26, 2018 Hope he’s a 1st team starter, more quality not quantity required imo. — Catankerous Dave (@FeedMeSeamore) July 26, 2018 Get him in. I remember reports a couple of months ago saying Brighton were interested in him. A young player with huge potential and a good sell on value in a few years — ⚫️⚫️WPJ_____ (@weepaljoe_) July 24, 2018 Good to get another permanent signing in the door — Somegingerkid© (@scottmoreland3) July 26, 2018
