‘Real pity’, ‘Howling’ – One player is disappointing these Rangers fans after Ibrox 1st half

Although there’s been a physical edge to the first half of Rangers’ pre-season clash against Wigan at Ibrox, it has been a fairly dull affair so far. The two sides head into the interval at 0-0, with neither side really creating the chances to change that scoreline. The match is an opportunity for Rangers fans to see some fringe players in action, other players to build fitness and for Steven Gerrard to determine who should be included in starting elevens going forward. One player who is failing to really impress supporters so far is Greg Docherty. The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, with reports suggesting he could be sent out on a season long loan. In some fans eyes, that’s a perfectly understandable decision after watching him in action today. The midfield has failed to get going, with both Docherty and Ross McCrorie failing to pass accurately and consistently. These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts… Docherty can be frustrating to watch, can see why he’s not in the starting 11 — TicTac Heed™️ ???????????????????????????????????? (@19CM86) July 29, 2018 Can see how Docherty Hardly gets any game time???? — Stephen Craig (@StephenCraig29) July 29, 2018 Docherty looking every bit a candidate for loan today. Real pity, seeemed to be just the type of signing we needed at the time. — justice for Scottish cars (@crims273) July 29, 2018 Docherty n Mcrorie have been poor so far — Ricky Menzies (@rickymenzies23) July 29, 2018 Going by that first Half it’s no wonder we haven’t seen Docherty this season so far. Howling. — Stuart. (@StuPollock1) July 29, 2018 You watching the Wigan game? Docherty is worst player on the pitch. He is no where near good enough. — Ross Harrison (@RossHarrison90) July 29, 2018 Candeias far more comfortable & involved while playing wide right. Hopefully we don’t see him as part of a centre 3 again. Game is passing McCrorie & Docherty by so far today though — Grant (@Captain_Buns) July 29, 2018 I feel like Docherty has answered everyone asking why he isn’t getting any game time and is going out on loan with that first half performance. — Lewis (@Lloyd__72) July 29, 2018 Young docherty isn’t helping his cause today, nor McCrorie. — Winston J Boat ????????
