Report: Bryan and Lafferty aren’t the only signings Rangers are looking to make

Rangers have been linked with moves for Manchester City defender Kean Bryan and Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty this week, but according to The Daily Mail they are also in the market for a midfielder. The paper say that Josh Windass’ potential exit has sparked a hunt for midfield options, with Steven Gerrard clearly not interested in weakening the squad whatsoever before the end of the transfer window. Chairman Dave King told STV earlier this week that the club were still pursuing one or two more signings, but it appears the total summer tally of signings could rise to 13 players, with 10 already confirmed. A midfielder would be a welcome addition to add a bit of depth to squad, alongside a new striker and defender. Sign players in those three positions and it would appear that Gerrard’s work is done for the summer. Things are progressing well on and off the pitch after last night’s successful win away to Croatian side NK Osijek. The Gers are now well placed to move into the next round of UEFA Europa League qualifying where they will face old foes Maribor or Georgian outfit Chikhura Sachkhere. Do you think Rangers need to sign another midfielder before the end of the transfer window? Let us know in the comments below…
