
After being linked with a move for him last month, Rangers fans appear to be heavily in favour of re-signing former fan favourite Steven Davis this summer. Sky Sports reported in June that the Gers were interested in signing the Southampton midfielder and captain, six years after he left the club following financial meltdown. Davis was undoubtedly one of the best players in Scotland during his four-and-a-half year spell at the club, helping the club win eight major honours and reach the final of the then UEFA Cup. Three of those trophies were successive league titles, as many fans will remember fondly. Now 33 years of age, he still has plenty to offer the Ibrox side, playing regularly for Premier League outfit Southampton last season before injury ruled him out of the majority of the second half of the campaign. Fans are certainly keen to see him arrive in Glasgow, with 73% of respondents to a poll we published last week believing that the club should make a move for him. You can see the full results below…
