Rangers fans are excited to see more of new signing Umar Sadiq in action after his cameo substitute performance against Wigan at Ibrox on Sunday. The lanky Roma striker, on loan for a season at the Gers, looked full of pace and threat during his non-competitive debut, forcing the visitors into an own goal during the three-goal rout. The 21-year-old looks ready to gain more professional first-team experience after a successful spell at NAC Breda last season, scoring five goals and creating three assists in 12 appearances. His lack of action in a Rangers shirt so far is due to his fitness still being worked on but, as many fans have pointed out, if that was the kind of display he can muster when lacking fitness, it’s exciting to think of what he can do with games under his belt. Will he feature at some point against NK Osijek on Thursday? These fans took to Twitter after the game to share their thoughts on the striker… Sadiq looks like he’s gony be a cracker ???? — scott bannachan (@tottie_watp) July 29, 2018 Sadiq looks like he could be capable of some brilliance but looks awkward as hell ????. Loved the way he gets brought down in his own half got up and sprinted in to the box to get on the end of a header. — Andy ???????? Already looks far more encouraging — Foreign Rangers Fan (@KylEnsign) July 29, 2018 Sadiq looks like he’s going to be a handful, Barely match fit aswell.
