Rangers are through to the next round of UEFA Europa Qualifying after drawing 1-1 with Croatian side NK Osijek at Ibrox last night. That scoreline was enough to progress after the team’s narrow 1-0 victory away from home last Thursday. It was a tough encounter, with the visitors throwing plenty at Steven Gerrard’s men, who had to defend resolutely for much of the match and withstand significant pressure. It was a night that defensive minded stars shone most, none more so than midfielder Ryan Jack, whose pressing and all action style went down a treat with supporters. Signed by Pedro Caixinha last summer, the former Aberdeen man has had his ups and downs at the club so far, but looked every bit a player that fans could be proud of last night. If he can continue that kind of form, he will have a stunning season.
