Former Rangers centre-half Carlos Cuellar caused a few trips down memory lane when he took to social media to direct a tweet in the direction of the clubs’ fans this week. Suerte este jueves! pic.twitter.com/4qnul0pwNH — Carlos Cuellar (@Cuellar24) July 31, 2018 The message was simple and leant on his time at Ibrox over a decade ago now and he simply wanted to wish us well for Thursday’s upcoming Europa League clash as we go into the second leg against Osijek. 36-year-old Cuellar is a familiar face for the more vintage amongst the fanbase, he arrived from Osasuna back in the summer of 2007 for a reported £2.37million and went on to spend only 12 months with us before he earned a massive £7.8million switch to Aston Villa. Whilst his time at Ibrox was short-lived, he certainly made an impression with a return of five goals in a whopping 65 starting appearances – a club record for a single year – and he continues to be loved by those who responded in kind to his well wishes.
