Loads of Rangers fans have been reacting to Steven Gerrard’s latest comments, as the boss seemed to imply it’s only a matter of time before Kyle Lafferty re-joins the club. Rangers have had an absolutely wonderful start to life under Gerrard, and they picked up another win this weekend courtesy of a hat-trick from Alfredo Morelos. Gerrard’s biggest challenges when he got the job were to strengthen the spine of the team and to get Morelos confident and firing. Needless to say, the boss has made great progress on both of these targets, but there is still a feeling that Morelos could use a different kind of striker to take some of the pressure off him. Lafferty, who scored 31 Premiership goals during his first stint with the Gers, has been heavily linked with a move back to Ibrox since the Gers have a bid rejected for him last month, and Gerrard’s recent comments have fans feeling good about a deal. “Yeah that’ll be likely,” Gerrard said when asked if there could potentially be two more signings. “He’s not our player at the moment, so I won’t comment on Kyle. He’s a fantastic player though,” the boss continued with a smirk.
