Julian Wolhardt appointed Rangers director just over a year after buying £1million of Mike Ashley’s shares

RANGERS have appointed Julian Wolhardt as a director. Last year the 45-year-old – along with Club 1872 – bought Sports Direct tycoon Mike Ashley’s shares. Wolhardt has been appointed a Gers director He invested £1million in the Light Blues. At the time, Gers chairman Dave King said: “Julian’s decision to invest in Rangers is exciting for the club. “His business background and acumen are exceptional and it is very pleasing that his scrutiny of the club and its strategy has convinced him of our financial prospects and the merits of our business plan.” More to follow.
