Rangers fans have enjoyed a fine start to the season under the guidance of Steven Gerrard but there is still likely to be plenty of movement in the final weeks of the window. Gerrard is looking to shuffle his deck ahead of his planned endeavours in Europe, with Rangers preparing for a crucial Europa League play-off tie against FC UFA on Thursday and having until the end of August to complete deals. There is also likely to be outgoing pieces of business though and an update has been provided on forgotten man Myles Beerman, with The Times of Malta claiming that the 19-year-old defender is set to return to Malta to join Birkirkara on loan. Capped three times by Malta’s national side, Beerman has featured in just seven league games for Rangers since signing in 2016 and earned just three appearances during a previous loan stint with Queen of the South. Reacting to the news, some Rangers fans questioned why the teenager was still on the club’s books as another stint away from the club looks to be inevitable. Just cancel his contract he’s not going to break into the first team. — Craig Murray (@TheStig4677) August 20, 2018 Weird one. He looked good when he broke in & hasn’t been seen since penalty v them. — Porchie (@JohnPorteous1) August 20, 2018 Hope not. — Andrew Wilson (@AndrewGWilson1) August 21, 2018 Loan deal but with his contract up at the end of the season I can’t see him returning but that’s just my opinion. — Youth Updates (@rfcyouthupdates) August 21, 2018 Damn it. Who an I going to bring on for the last 10 mins on PES now? — Douglas McIntosh (@FatZidane) August 21, 2018 Would be nice if he went on loan down south instead — Jamie Mciver (@Mciver904) August 21, 2018 He won’t make it if he’s going to learn his trade back there — Stuart (@86Stuart) August 20, 2018 Needs first team football. Did well for Gers first team when asked — RangersForMe (@thefightscore) August 20, 2018
