Rangers complete Borna Barisic deal as Osijek skipper becomes Steven Gerrard’s eleventh summer capture

RANGERS have completed the £2.2million signing of Osijek skipper Borna Barisic. Steven Gerrard targeted the Croatian internationalist after being impressed by his displays in their recent Europa League meetings. Borna Barisic will become a Rangers player within the next 24 hours Left-sided defender Barisic – who has three caps – is highly-rated in his homeland and narrowly missed out in the World Cup campaign when the squad was cut from 32 to 23. And now he has become Gerrard’s eleventh summer capture after penning a four-year deal. Speaking to Rangers TV about the move, he said: “I think that the most important thing is that I give every game 100 per cent. “I see that the Rangers fans recognise that and I am very happy because of that. “I will give my heart at Ibrox and every other stadium for Rangers.
