ALFREDO MORELOS looks certain to win his first call-up for Colombia this weekend for friendlies in the USA against Argentina and Venezuela. The South American nation are set to announce they won’t renew the contract of manager Jose Pekerman, whose deal expires this month. Morelos has been in fine form for RangersWillie Vass The squad for the forthcoming friendies is set to be picked by current Colombia Under 20s boss Arturo Reyes, who has selected Morelos for his team on six occasions. Colombia are contractually obliged to include at least seven members of their World Cup squad, who reached the Round of 16 in Russia before losing to England in a penalty shootout, for the two American challenge matches. And the rest of the squad are likely to be made up of new faces and Morelos’ recent sensational scoring form means he is almost certain to be included.
