"Tragic", "Delighted" - These Rangers fans are split as shock deadline departure looms

Loads of Rangers fans have been having their say on the latest transfer news, as Josh Windass looks set to leave the club for around £2.5m. According to Raman Bhardwaj, Wigan have jumped ahead of Ipswich in the race for Windass. Ipswich had agreed a £2m deal for the 24 year-old, but Bhardwaj claims the player is now en route to Wigan to complete a deal at around the £2.5m mark. The report has now been backed up by The Scottish Sun, so it looks like it’s only a matter of time before Windass secures his departure. The 5 ft 9 ace has split opinion amongst fans at Ibrox, but his exit will no doubt hurt Steven Gerrard’s squad depth. Windass has shown glimpses of his fantastic potential, but never really seems to put it together in the right way come match day. Loads of fans have been having their say on this one, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below… Horrific business. Less than we paid for Pena. — Rangers Culture (@RangersCulture) August 9, 2018 £2m is good for a dud with the heart of a mouse. — Pro Patria (@ProPatria1872) August 9, 2018 Dud? Granted hes not everyones cuppa but calling him a dud is a bit harsh. Scored 18 goals last season 🙈🙈 — John shannon (@John1glasgow1) August 9, 2018 Let’s face it, he was not happy here, the jersey was far too heavy, best of luck Josh — Cooper (@the_bluegate) August 9, 2018 Maybe thats what you get for a player when the fans turn against them, we will never learn — Jaffa (@DerekRo86832926) August 9, 2018 Shambles. They’ve just made £7m off Waghorn. Windass is a better player. — Dado (@mendrinkmilk) August 9, 2018 Im not even windass’ biggest fan but that is tragic, bags of goals and assists and someone green lights a 2m move when that wee prick McGinn who’s in the final year of his contract goes for 4m+, embarrassing — nosurrender1690 (@bluetheboio) August 9, 2018 I’m delighted with that. He doesn’t want to be there and I don’t think he’s done enough to warrant a significantly larger fee. If we have a decent sell-on fee in the deal and he does go for more in the future it’s a win-win. — beggarsbanquet68 (@beggarsbanquet1) August 9, 2018
