Rangers will face off against FK Shkupi at Macedonia as part of the second leg in the preliminary qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on Tuesday night. Steven Gerrard will take charge of his second competitive European game as the Gers boss and might opt to name a few fresh faces in his lineup. A lot of Rangers fans will be optimistic about their chances of qualification, especially after the dominant display of the Light Blues last week when they secured a comfortable 2-0 victory in the first leg through goals from Jamie Murphy and James Tavernier. The Glaswegian giants now have to see off 90 more minutes versus the Macedonian outfit who are hoping to put on a valiant display tonight. The Glaswegian side bowed out at this stage of the competition last season and Gerrard will be hoping that they don’t come up short once again this term. It is expected that the Gers will opt for a 4-1-4-1 formation with both Ryan Jack and Ovie Ejaria starting in midfield. Gerrard will be without the services of Lee Wallace, Graham Dorrans and Jordan Rossiter who can all be ruled out of action due to injuries. New signing Scott Arfield has also been ruled out of the second leg clash against Shkupi with an injury he picked up during the first leg. 4-1-4-1 Rangers Predicted Lineup To Face FK Shkupi Defence Allan McGregor will start in goal for the away side and might be protected by a back four of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katić in central defence while James Tavernier plays at right-back and Jon Flanagan operates on the left side of the Gers defence. The Rangers backline managed to keep a clean sheet in the first leg at the Ibrox Stadium and Steven Gerrard will hope that his defenders can keep the FK Shkupi attack at bay today. Midfield Ross McCrorie is expected to be deployed as a deep-lying defensive midfielder while the duo of Ryan Jack and Ovie Ejaria plays in front of the Scottish midfielder at the centre of the park. Jamie Murphy will continue operating on the left side of the midfield, looking to add to his opening goal from the first leg. Josh Windass will play on the right side of the Gers midfield and will look to register his name on the scoresheet. Attack Alfredo Morelos is expected to lead the lines for Steven Gerrard’s team up top. He was the Teddy Bears’ main man in the last campaign. The Colombian sensation will now look to get his name on the scoresheet once again when he laces up to face the Macedonian side today.
