“One Goal Kills The Tie” Gerrard Makes Second Leg Tie Against Shkupi Sound So Easy

Later this afternoon Rangers take to the pitch once more in competitive action this summer as we look to book our place in the Second Qualifying Round of this season’s Europa League competition. Having taken a 2-0 victory over FC Shkupi at Ibrox last Thursday with goals coming from Jamie Murphy and a late James Tavernier penalty, we have the advantage going into the second leg but it’s not going to be that easy, we know all too well how difficult these games can be. Steven Gerrard’s full pre-game press conference words can be found by Clicking Here. Suffice to say, whilst not underestimating the test we’ll face, Gerrard is confident that we can finish off the tie comfortably and move onto bigger things this year. ????️ GERRARD: “We believe one goal kills the tie. We know it is going to be hot and humid, and it may be a tricky surface and a tricky game, but we are ready for whatever gets thrown at us.“ READ: https://t.co/u2TWgJHBzb pic.twitter.com/nkEqIe9oWS — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) July 16, 2018 With a 2-0 advantage going into the game, an away goal should certainly kill things off and end any hope Shkupi have of staging a fightback on their own soil. Now we just have to do it. Although there is hope and optimism amongst the fans, there’s also an understandable amount of concern. What a strange tweet, we do whatever we need can to get to the next round, its not Barca we are playing so no need to have everyone behind the ball. — ????????Gerinho????????
