OSIJEK boss Zoran Zekic has revealed Steven Gerrard is his hero and he cried when the current Rangers boss’ infamous slip cost Liverpool the league title. And he is still haunted by Gerrard’s unfortunate slip against Chelsea in 2014 which allowed Demba Ba to score and effectively cost Brendan Rodgers’ side their first title for 24 years. He said: “I started supporting Liverpool because of Ian Rush initially and then my hero was Steven Gerrard. “I literally adored the club for 15 years. “Steven was a brilliant, awesome player. I absolutely loved him. I can only hope he’s not as good a manager as he was a player.
