EX-RANGERS ace Bruno Alves has been tipped to become Parma’s new captain just a month after joining the Italian side. The Portugal international endured an injury-hit campaign with the Light Blues last season after being brought in by Pedro Caixinha. And it hasn’t taken long for the 36-year-old to lay down a marker at his new club. Alessandro Lucarelli, who skippered the former Italian giants back up through the leagues until his retirement at the end of last season, has taken on a role as Parma’s club manager – a director, despite the job title. And he is backing Alves to take the captain’s armband this season.
