Loads of Rangers fans have been bashing the performance of Ovie Ejaria, after the Liverpool loanee was wasteful on several occasions on Thursday night. Steven Gerrard’s side progressed to the next round of the Europa League on Thursday, drawing 1-1 at Ibrox with Croatian outfit Osijek. Nikola Katic’s goal gave the Gers the lead, and they probably should have been even further ahead before the visitors’ late equaliser. Some of Gerrard’s summer signings have been really impressive so far this season, and Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent certainly has something to offer, but fans aren’t happy with fellow Liverpool lad Ejaria. One would have to assume Gerrard’s Liverpool link is responsible for the double loan swoop, and Ejaria is already being likened to Nathan Oduwa. The 20 year-old struggled on loan with Sunderland last season, but there is real optimism that he can flourish under Gerrard’s guidance. He doesn’t seem to have grasped the concept of what is required at Ibrox though, spending way too much time doing fancy flicks that didn’t come off. There is clearly talent there, but the youngster needs to be more careful with possession or he may soon lose his place.
